I'm going to watch it, i like batman. But i don't think it'll be that good, i have low expectations. To me the perfect Batman is from Batman:The Animated Series. I'm really enjoying the season box sets.

I'm really enjoying the season box sets. Are you doubting Batman? Trust me, it's not going to be the same campy stuff that the last two were made of. If I may be so bold, this new film should rival the Spider-Man films of late in terms of visual effects, acting, and plot. But that's little more than a fanboy's point of view. You should check out the trailers on the official site, they're Bat-tastic.

GAAH! I've watched Batman Begins a total of three (3) times in one week, that's a record for any movie I've ever seen... It was THAT good.
How's everyone been lately? I know this place is dead, but I just thought I'd drop by anyway. Yes I'm bored. Aside from track training for college, and a bit of my own weight lifting, I've lost all signs of having a life. College sucks. Well, the idea does anyway... having to move miles away from everything familiar for shitloads of work... blah, I'm sure I'll enjoy the freedom though.

I've seen it three times, also, i really liked it. I've been pretty good, i've tried to drop by a littl ebit more but for some reason i can't use my sdp account, though the admin account works fine. I never really used this account because i didn't want it to be "my" forum, and people not join for that reason, oh well no one ever came here, it just wasn't the same. But i was looking at the reg. members, there are a lot of members that just registered and brings back emories. Anyways, anyone have Nob's email addres or someway to contact him? i just had a question for him. you can PM me or email me at sdphost@gmail.com if you have it. if not, you can still email me

Wow, I actually had to reactivate my account, it's been so long.
Anyway, hello everybody!
Good to see everyone's still posting here. It's 4:22am in New York right now and I'm wide awake. I got back from my vacation to Japan today. There, it's actually 5:22pm, so you can understand my ridiculous jet lag.
It was my first time to Japan, but I had a blast. So here goes one of my typical ridiculously long posts:
The trip started out in Tokyo where me and a friend of mine (who speaks Japanese a bit more fluently than I) visited various sight seeing areas, Temples and parks. Got one of those massages where they walk on your back in Shibuya. Sat in a sauna in Yebisu. Roppongi was filled with Russian whores and Nigerians trying to hook you up with Russian whores. I did meet one nice girl from Chiba at a random bar, though.
After 5 days in Tokyo, we took the Shinkansen bullet train to Kyoto for two nights. More temples and sight-seeing, but Kyoto is more rural, whereas Tokyo is information overload--with tons and tons of advertising. In Kyoto, we stayed at a Japanese youth center, which was basically a small room with "wicker" floors and mats to use as beds.
Osaka was where I spent the last two nights of the trip, and where I had the best time. Tokyo was cool, but everyone is hustle bustle there, and it's crazy expensive. The people in Osaka are really friendly, and very open to offer help to foreigners lost. If Tokyo is Japan's Manhattan, then Osaka reminded me of White Plains, NY, a smaller, more chill city about half an hour to the North.
Oh, and the women in Japan (not to be stereotypical) are all in ridiculously good shape. It was Cute Girl Sensory Over-load, if you can imagine such a thing.
As for souvenirs, I bought a bunch of Shuriken from a Hardware store (a hardware/toy/porn store), picked up some Totoro plushies at the Japanese World Trade Center. In Osaka, I found this great used book store where I picked up the first issues of Emblem of Roto and Dai no Daiboken. They were only 200 yen each. I should have picked up more, but I was almost out of cash at this point. I bought a Samus Aran figurine at a Toy shop in the BicCamera store, where I also snagged a picture of.................wait for it...........DRAGON QUEST VIII. ;D It was the ultimate moment, my mecca as a g(l)amer, seeing the Square Enix booth and finding DQ8. btw, anyone hear any news on a DW8? Actually last I heard a rumor that they might possibly keep the Quest in there for the American release.
I'll send a link to pictures once I've gathered them all together (between mine and my friend's).
I'm giving serious thought to going over to Osaka to teach English for a year in the Nova school's JET program. However, that probably won't happen for a year or two.
Liam

www.slimeknights.com anyone? I signed up recently, only to be blown off by those big-shots, saying there were no more openings... I'M AN ENIX ORIGINAL! They can't do that to me! Blasted Square kids probably don't know jack about DQ anyhow...

Is that why it's taking so long? I thought my registration just got lost or something. Weird, I expected it to come to me the same day as registration. I guess maybe they're actually reading each one.

DS anyone?
I'm interested to hear your opinions on Nintendo's latest before I actually go and grab one myself. I've never really held the thing before, but I've used store displays and junk... Is it just me, or are the D-pad and the buttons a little clicky? It doesn't seem very well suited for more action-oriented games because of that, and I've also wondered about the awkwardness of using the stylus. I'll be playing a wide range of games, from Castlevania to Advance Wars, so comfort for each genre is important to me.
On a related note, how does the PSP compare? I don't mean spec wise. I realize the PSP is WAAY more powerful, but numbers and extras aren't important to me, just games/gameplay.
